Sanitary Sewer line Update
May 4, 2026
Dear Residents,
Ellis County FWSD No. 1 (the District) is the retail water and wastewater service provider for the Goodland subdivision.
Over the past two years, the District has managed delays related to a sanitary sewer line pending
connection to the wholesale wastewater line owned by Trinity River Authority of Texas (TRA). During this time, a tanker truck has been used to transport wastewater within the District to ensure that customers’ wastewater service has no interruptions.
At this time, the District has not received a confirmed completion date for the TRA sewer line. The district and developer have no control or management over the construction of the TRA sewer line. As a result, the District has decided to move forward with temporary bypass pumping equipment to replace the tanker truck service.
This bypass pumping equipment will remain in operation until the TRA line is fully connected to the District’s system. The equipment will be monitored regularly and will include appropriate traffic control measures to ensure public safety. Below is a map of the bypass line in green.
The additional cost that is associated with the tanker truck service and bypass equipment is not being passed on to homeowners. The current sewer rate is based on the wholesale rate that the District and City of Grand Prairie have in place.
The District appreciates your patience and understanding as we take these steps to maintain uninterrupted wastewater service for our customers. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact Inframark Customer Service at 832-467-1599 or email at customerservice@inframark.com.
Sincerely,
Ellis County FWSD No. 1
